Functional Reflex Therapy (FRT) Training

About FRT

Functional Reflex Therapy was developed by Lorraine Senior, a UK based qualified teacher and reflexologist who, as a teacher for over 20 years supported children with special educational needs and disabilities and their families.

Delivering reflexology as a timetabled therapy in many environments Lorraine was encouraged with the results of her research and case studies (currently unpublished), observations and feedback from staff, parents and receivers to create Functional Reflex Therapy in 2012.

The FRT routine is a short repetitive rhythmical activity consisting of a combination of eight relaxation, positive touch techniques delivered using hand, finger and thumb movements to general reflex areas on the hand and forearm or feet and lower leg.
